Story:
The animation in this production is about 95-97% dynamic.
It started as a small experiment in dynamic animation I saw some clean motion graphics videos, but it escalated into a larger Halloween project, so Enjoy.
Behind the scenes:
Everything that the balls interfere with is a collision body and the ball is a rigid body.
Then there´s a lot of timing and re-timing elements to this. First I was going to do a ball switch on key parts, but then I just simulated the whole process instead. Baked the simulation as alembic then set the camera angles.
Then I duplicated the alembics and re-timed it to add more balls in the background.
The whole thing is rendered with in ACEScg.
And comped in After Effects with ACES, – Yes! After FX has ACES now!
